Call For Special Sessions

We are soliciting proposals for special sessions.  Special Sessions are intended to provide an opportunity for focused discussions on a wide variety of topics related to the conference theme.

Special Session proposals should be no more than 500 words and should include:

(a) The title of the proposed Special Session.

(b) The name of the organizer(s), including contact information.

(c) Background and expertise of the organizer(s).

(d) The names of expected contributors for the proposed special session.

Proposals should be submitted to SEDE 2013 by June 5, 2013 July 1, 2013.

 

Acceptance & Paper Submission

The Program Chairs will send preliminary notification of acceptance or rejection of the special session proposals to their organizers by June 5, 2013 July 1, 2013.

Special Session papers should be submitted to SEDE 2013 through the main conference Submission site, selecting “Create a new Paper Submission” then “Special Session Proposal Submission”.

 

Final Special Session Structure

After the review process, the program chairs will work with each session organizer to determine the final structure of their special session. The goal is to have sessions consisting of 5 papers. Special Sessions that have fewer than 5 papers may be combined with other conference sessions. Special Sessions that have more than 5 accepted papers may be split into multiple sessions comprising 5 papers each.
